The premier goal of the event is to gather families through different attractions and competitions and revisit the significant traditions and culture that molded the current Tulsa metropolitan. With more than a hundred years of amusement, here are some bits and pieces for this year’s Tulsa State Fair, starting September 28 to October 8. Yes, that’s #11daysofawesome! Are you ready?

The extensive variety of entertainment does not end there as everyone will be crooned with a continuous lineup of musical events until the first week of October.
Every day, there are heaps of different attractions set to marvel everyone on the place. And the great thing, these are for free as long as you have the paid gate admission. Some of the fantastic daily options include the Chainsaw Carving, All-star Stunt Dogs Challenge, Salt Fork Blacksmith, Great American Petting Zoo and Pony Rides, Southwest Dairy Milking Parlor and so much more!
Aside from the daily charms, there are also featured attractions that shouldn’t be missed like the Red Dirt Rodeo & Concert Series, Disney on Ice Follow Your Heart, Miss Tulsa State Fair Pageant, Oklahoma State Sugar Art Show, Oklahoma State Arm wrestling Championship and Butter Sculptor Sarah Pratt.
But of course, any event will not be complete without the food craze. Enjoy the wide stack of food stalls, ranging from local dishes to tasty beverages. The Tulsa State Fair also offers heaps of food competitions that will surely dazzle your eyes and mouth. To suit everyone, there are three different categories: Twist on State Fair Traditional Dish, Most Creative or Unique New Food and Best Overall Dish. The food contests or locally called as Dizzy’s Delight Food Competition will take place in the afternoon of October 2 at the River Spirit Expo Kitchens. Each participant will be given with preparation / cooking time to organize their masterpieces.
As part of the tradition, there are competitive exhibits to give a hint of friendly rivalry among the locals. The exhibits vary in terms of age entries such as Cookie and Pie Perfection contests for the adults and Creative Dessert Contest and the Great American Spam Championship for the juniors.
To live up the mission of Tulsa State Fair, expect for many educational events and programs throughout the celebration. The range of learning opportunities helps in creating an interactive and insightful entertainment, especially among the youth.
